    • Please keep fighting. What if all the effort you’re putting into dying went into living? I’m not trying to belittle your pain. I know you’re in excruciating pain and I know this isn’t easy. But it’s breaking our hearts to watch you give up. I don’t know what to do.

    • I know that online, it can be especially tricky to gauge. Sometimes I don’t comment if there appears to be a dialogue already going between others. But then I try to remind myself that this is the internet. If it’s being posted, it’s public and as long as you’re adding to the conversation respectfully, it’s usually welcome. But I know what you mean, Ruth.

  1. I am so sorry you feel this way.

I am not making excuses for the other person, but sometimes a person WANTS to be more involved, but because of circumstances, they can’t… Like maybe they are so sick that they just can’t type an email anymore…

On the other hand it really hurts when one person seems to be making all the effort. Just know that you are worth the effort.

    • Thanks, Crumble.

That’s true. When someone is ill and they obviously want to reach out more than they’re able, that is one thing. But when someone wants to end their life more than they want to be your friend, that hurts. It’s understandable, but it still hurts. Like how can you not question your worth?
