That’s another dangerous side effect of agoraphobia. When you don’t go out much and finally do, you can bring home all the germs and bacteria your body isn’t able to fight off since it’s not been given the chance to work up any antibodies like everyone else that interacts with people on a daily basis. We’re kept pretty sheltered by staying in so often and since our immune system is already compromised by diabetes and another eye flare up, plus added stresses and the dramatic change in weather… it was just going to be a matter of time.
Ben is being great though. He always is. Tonight we splurged and got some take-out. I wouldn’t have been able to cook if I wanted to. But I would definitely like to learn how to make some really good homemade chicken soup someday.
Going back to bed now.

feel better soon, friends. <3
Want a really, really simple chicken soup recipe? Boil a chicken. Pull the chicken off the bone after it’s cooled down. Throw the chicken, some cut up carrots and celery and onion in some chicken broth in a big pot. Season with a little salt and pepper. Cook until the carrots are soft. I am not a great cook, but I can do this. I made this for my husband when he was sick one weekend and he said he felt better cause he had some “wife soup.” He was eating low carb so I didn’t put in any noodles. Hope you feel better soon.
This sounds really easy. Thanks for sharing, jami.
We’ll have to let you know how it turns out when we try it.
Hope you feel better soon.
